Mistfall Hunter

I. Game Pricing & Launch Discount

Gyldhunters, thank you all for your patience! We're now less than two weeks away from our official launch on July 30, 2026, at 01:00 UTC+0! We can't wait to finally see you all out there!

First up is what everyone's been asking about most: game pricing. The Standard Edition will be priced at $24.99, while the Deluxe Edition will be available for $39.99. If you want, you can grab the Standard Edition first and upgrade to the Deluxe Edition later for $15.00. The Deluxe Edition comes packed with a slate of exclusive rewards and a ton of Fate Coins (which are strictly used for purchasing in-game cosmetics):

We're also kicking things off at launch with a 10% introductory discount for about 14 days! We'd love to have you join us when the game officially drops!

II. Official Launch New Content

The official launch version will mainly add the following content:

- New Withered Knight weapon archetype: Polearm & Shield

- Holy weapons and their exclusive gameplay affixes

- Brandrgarde: Cataclysm difficulty

- Season 1 "Soul Hunt", along with a lineup of seasonal tasks and events

- Season 1 themed gameplay: "Soul Harvest"

- Collection Pedestal: Display your hard-earned loot right in camp

- Ladder & Tier Reward system

- More cosmetics and a Battle Pass (The Season 1 Battle Pass will be completely free!)

For a deeper dive into these features, check out our recently released update and the upcoming Developer Update #7 dropping at the end of the month. Due to development timelines, the Blackarrow's new weapon will launch in a future season—thanks for your patience on that one!

III. Playtest Review & Bug Fixes

While our last playtest hit an incredible milestone by clinching the #1 spot on the Steam Next Fest charts, it also highlighted some serious issues with performance optimization and bugs. On the performance front, we've focused our optimization efforts on three main areas:

- Dedicated optimization for Unreal Engine Shader precompilation stutters (mitigating freezes when models and special effects load for the first time).

- Implementing a smoother asset-loading strategy to better prevent sudden frame drops when a large number of characters appear at once.

- Continuous optimizations for average frame rate and memory usage.

Performance tuning is a tough, long-term process, and we'll keep optimizing post-launch to steadily improve the experience. Additionally, we've squashed a series of random crash bugs, including occasional crashes caused by map vegetation animations and AMD graphics card hair rendering issues.

We've also rolled out a wave of fixes for bugs that couldn't be resolved during the last test. Here are the main highlights:

- Fixed an issue where Quick Buy would frequently fail (though you may still need to try a few times if item prices are fluctuating rapidly).

- Fixed an occasional issue that prevented players from exiting Spectator mode.

- Fixed an issue where the tactical item, Windcaller Wings, would remain active indefinitely under specific conditions.

- Fixed an occasional issue where server-wide mail couldn't be claimed.

- Fixed an issue where stage selection would error out and prevent the game from starting under certain conditions.

- Fixed a login failure caused by a data overflow when players had too many Xbox friends.

- Fixed an occasional issue that blocked players from reconnecting if they disconnected during a loading screen.

- Fixed a softlock issue that occurred when a player crouching through low terrain was hit by the Knight's Thorn Guide skill.

- Fixed a UI freeze caused by rapidly spamming the accept button on a team invitation while using a controller.

- Fixed an issue where the Soul Ferry audio would play incorrectly under certain conditions.

- Fixed an issue where switching classes after equipping a Combat Bag would cause skill abnormalities.

- Fixed an occasional issue that prevented players from picking up loot drops.

Aside from these, we've squashed a ton of other bugs that we couldn't fit into this update. For more details on core gameplay optimizations, please keep an eye on our recently released Q&A and our upcoming Developer Update.

After years of development, four online playtests, and a journey filled with unexpected twists and turns, the Web of Fate in the world of Weavereach has finally taken shape. Mistfall Hunter is officially ready to welcome you all. That said, we know that launch day is just the beginning. The real challenge lies in our ability to continuously optimize the game based on your feedback. While Mistfall Hunter is still far from perfect, we truly believe it is an incredibly fun game. Whether during internal playtests or our past public tests, Mistfall Hunter has brought our team so much joy—and we hope the game we built brings that same joy to you!

Finally, thank you all once again for your continued support. Your enthusiasm is as precious to us as Gyldenblod! We can't wait to reunite with all of you in Windrest!
